The story of the sad little elephant.....

I've already held up my hands - I'm a collector, the trouble is that I like so many things!
I have a small collection of Cloisonné items as shown below. Most are from charity shops, though they are few and far between - it has taken me about six or seven years to seek out these little beauties.

The latest one is actually imperfect..it's the little elephant with only one ear! I saw it, looking very lonesome on the shelf in the shop priced at £2, so I decided to give the poor soul a home. I know the ladies who work in the shop and happened to comment at the till that 'Only I would buy a one eared elephant' - this started a search in the sorting room and in the shop for the missing ear amidst much hilarity. Needless to say they didn't find it but they were good enough to reduce the price to £1.50
And here he is.....

But this side you have to speak up!

Hope you've enjoyed my madness.....please visit again.

Hi Rosemary

Thank you for returning the visit :o)
I do occasionally watch most haunted, but it's usually when my daughter is visiting
(too spooky for me). Yvette is really funny isn't she? I can remember her as a childrens TV presenter when our daughter was small.

All the best

LOL! He's sweet! My daughter actually collects animal figures that have missing pieces. She has a long shelf over her desk filled with them!

Hey, Tell him to let me know if he needs to borrow one of my hearing aids!

My mom collects cloissone, too. She has had several urns made into lamps. They're gorgeous. I like your collection, too!
