A lovely post, Rose! I remember when the Veterans of Foreign Wars gave paper poppies to people on the street many years ago...a nice reminder of the sacrifices. Happy week!...hugs...Debbie

A great post -- poppies are special to us as my Dad served in WW I -- the National WW I museum is in Kansas City and to get into it you walk over a bridge under which is a field of poppies!!!

BTW, next May we've rented a cottage in Swerford for a month -- perhaps we can meet!!!! I'll certainly be on the lookout for napkin rings during my trip -- the British have some of the best!
