What stunningly beautiful gifts!

I was feeling pretty miserable as I haven't had a lot of luck with 'finds' since my last post. :o(
However,  today I have received a truly beautiful gift from my sister in law Joy, (who makes some of the MOST wonderful sugar craft flowers and cakes) and when she came for a visit earlier today she gave me this....
Aren't they georgeous?

A view from above.
(the flowers are proudly placed on top of my glass topped coffee table which has a display area below, which is why you can see some cat plates underneath).

Close up of an Amaryllis

Dancing Ginger Lady and Spider Chrysanthemum

Delicate Hydrangea flowers

and completing the close ups fantastic Begonia leaves.

I feel truly blessed to receive such a stunning gift.  Thank you SO MUCH Joy.
 :o)  :o)  :o)

(There is another gift of some fabulous sugar craft lillies featured here.... http://secondhrose.blogspot.com/2010/04/blue-and-white-obsession.html)

I also saw my other sister in law Jackie today, and she gave me a load of fabulous Bramley Cooking Apples - freshly picked from her garden....
I feel some rose hip and apple jelly coming on..oh, and apple pie of course!
Thank you too Jackie :o)

Thank you for visiting, I really love to read each and every one of your comments.

                                                                        Best Wishes

You hit the jack pot on goodies. Those flowers are amazing! Thank you for stopping by with good wishes for Hubby & I after his surgery. WOW what a ride this has been. We are both soooooooooo tired & just glad to be home & on the road to recovery (yes, a few pot holes on the road but, over all success). So sweet of you to offer support & so much fun to have a new friend from "across the pond" as you put it). Hope you have a wonderful week. Charlene

It's hard to believe they're sugar. They look so real. What a lovely gift!

Hi Rose...thank you for following my blog! I stopped by to pay a visit and enjoyed my stay. When you first mentioned sugar flowers, I saw your gift and my first thought was, "Are they edible?" I've a sweet tooth!

Thank you all for your sweet comments.
Yes Ninny they are edible - but I really couldn't destroy all that work!
Charlene, I'm glad your dear husband is well on the road to recovery :o)
Tablescaper, thank you for your kind invitation - if I feel I have a Sunday post worthy enough I'll be sure to join in ;o)
Patrice, my photos don't show just how realistic they are!
Hugs to all.

Rose, you have the best sisters-in-law! How thoughtful and how beautiful! Oh, you asked about the penny on the railroad track...well, the train runs over them and flattens them and you still have a copper penny, but it is bigger and flat! Just a fun, silly thing that we used to love to do as children, so we carry on the tradition! Linda

Hello and welcome Terri. Just popped over to 'your place' - love Tea cup Tuesday....
Aaha, now I understand the penny on the track! Thanks for the visit, comment and info Linda :o)
Best wishes

Hi Rose - firstly, thank you so much for visiting my blog today - your comments were lovely. Secondly, what a wonderful blog you have - the flowers are indeed gorgeous, but I am PARTICULARLY interested in the rose hip and apple jelly you mentioned. I am a total novice when it comes to jam making, but I have 'inherited' a few apple trees with my new house and am v.keen for recipe inspiration - sounds delicious! xx
