Christmas IS cancelled.

Hi all

I've just grabbed a few moments to wish you all a Happy Christmas and hope you have a peaceful and healthy holiday.

Please forgive this post, but I have had to let you know what's happening here as I'm AWOL (again).

All is not well here, Hubs and I are still far from well, this chest infection has really knocked us off our feet.  No decorations, no tree - no-one feels up to bothering.  Mom now has it too (despite I have kept well away from her).  Today I have had to get her to hospital to get sorted by 'out of hours doctors' as she was having difficulty breathing.  Then tonight, just when I though she was settled she rang and told me she'd fell and couldn't get up.  Dear daughter ( thank goodness, she is now home for the holidays), so we both went down and have sorted Mom out and put her to bed.  No damage done, other than she was confused and shook up.

I had a lovely package from the US last week that bought me to tears, but I'll have to leave that post for another day.

Best wishes to all

OH Rose! I am so sorry about Christmas. BUT, you are all together, maybe a little under the weather..but we have to celebrate the little things.
Hope the New Year brings improved health for all of you.
Thank you for your friendship this last year. Ann

Dearest Rose, so very sorry to hear things are not going well today, BUT hope tomorrow brings improvement, especially for your dear Mother. Thank goodness she wasn't injured in the fall, and hopefully each of you will get over that bad chest infection very soon.

Sorry your Christmas decor has been postponed - but know you will be better off from not trying to overdo it all when you feel lousy. Will raise a glass to you on Christmas - wishes coming your way for a healthy and blessed New Year.

All well here in Torquay despite the rain - we are not flooded and we are having a great time.

Much love - Mary X

Oh dear poor you, hope things get better for you all. I was going to wish you a merry christmas but it seems a tad insensitive. I shall send you my regards instead. Take care. xx

I am so sorry that you are not well and had to cancel Christmas. I remember when Dan and I both had a bad stomach flu on Christmas Eve Day and we had to cancel Christmas Day celebrations with our family. Kristen was still a toddler and we had all we could do to take care of her between the both of us.
Take care and get well soon!

Love, Julie
