Hello Folks! Hope you all had a great Easter break despite the weather.
Some dear friends had invited out for Easter lunch, (which was very delicious - thank you Sandy and Rob). I was just about to go and get ready when I remembered I had to top-up the bird food before we left. I was just about to open the door when I noticed something darting about on the ground, I stopped and waited and was rewarded with the view of our latest residents...I dashed away and grabbed my camera and managed to get these snaps.
a pair of fieldmice that appear to be living in our dry-stone wall :o)
I think they're SO cute :o)
I even managed to stand outside and watch and snap some more photos.
I'm just hoping that a certain puss will not find out where they're living...
For sure, I'm finally getting the wildlife garden I've yearned for.
Hope you all have a great week.
Best wishes

They're so cute! We also have field mice living in our walls, front and back. I have often seen one running in and out of the wall by the bird table!

Hi Rose, I just love having wild life in the backyard. We haven't seen any field mice in our yard, but they sure are cute. You were so lucky to catch such great photos and I'll bet them you will catch more as the summer goes on. Thanks for visiting. Dianne
oh what a cute little mousie... I really don't want them in my garden, but it is better then in our house!
And they are still cute...
Thank you for your sweet comments on my post

Hi Rose,
Great pictures of the mice, it's so lovely to share our gardens with wildlife.
I just wish Thomas would leave them outside instead of bringing them in to show me!

thanks for the advise Rose, will dust myself off.
Darling mice, perhaps I should post on my backyard squirrels, they are so bold they come and tap on the window for attention
Hi Rose,
Your field mice are adorable. Thank you for your sweet comments on my potager and our deer visitors. I love seeing them too. We also have wild turkey...
Rose, I am surprised you were able to get close enough for photos. Thanks for visiting and your well wishes. Hugs, Sherry
Awwww field mice are SO cute! They look exactly as they appear in cartoons and illustrations, with those HUGE intelligent eyes! Clever you (and fast!) for managing to capture it before it disappeared. I love moments like those, when something unexpected but lovely happens, and you manage to capture a record against the odds. Simply lovely! x
You are such a good wildlife photographer Rose: these shots are impressive. Thank you so much for your visits, I love to receive your comments.

Aww... so cute! Love the field mice pictures.
How cute are they! They just need little dresses and they would look like Beatrix Potter's illustrations! Have a great week!...hugs...Debbie
Hi Rose...thank you for posting your sweet comment! It's so nice to hear from England. My husband is from there as well! I'm pretty much an anglophile (even before he and I met...tee hee)! Love your post about the cute mice. We have three kitties who would be interested as well (but they live indoors only). Hope to see you again!
Oh Rose, they are darned cute.........when outside where they belong! We've had tiny mice in the house several times....that I dislike immensely!
Hugs - Mary
