Bereft.

My soul mate, friend, love, partner and husband of 38 years passed away on the 17th June only three days after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.  I am bereft.

Rest in peace my darling...

Thank you all.
Yes Dina, I have the most amazing and supportive family, friends and neighbours without whom I would not be able to cope. I just do not have the words to thank them all.

Oh no Rose, I am SO SORRY to read this. I've thought about you since your mother passed away and wondered if you would return to blogging. This news just makes me so sad. If something should happen to my Hal, I would be bereft, too. My heart goes out to you, my friend.

I am glad to hear you have a great support network. You will most certainly be in my daily thoughts, Rose.

I am so, so sorry to hear this. I lost Dan a few months before our 39th anniversary, so I know just what you are going through. At least I had 15 months to "prepare" for the outcome, as his was Stage IV incurable cancer. (Actually, one can never really prepare.) It seems impossible now, but there will be a lessening of grief down the road. It's been just over three years for me. There is still life and happiness for you, and he would want you to experience it. He looks like he was a wonderful man.

Love, Julie

Rosie, I am so sorry. Every now and again I think of you, hoping that you and your little hedge hogs are well and now saddened for your lose. We are all here for when you need us. With a shoulder to cry on, a tissue to dry your tears, and hugs for comfort.
