In the early hours this morning my dear sister-in-law Joy lost her fight with the complictions of diabetes.
She was the talented lady who made me the most beautiful sugar craft flowers that I have featured in some of my earlier blog posts
Joy was a creative lady who excelled at quite a few crafts, and I'm honoured to own some beautiful needlework and papercraft items that she made. She withstood her health problems with a tremendous fortitude, never once looking at the negatives. She loved her children Claire and Chris, and grandchildren Ben and Zak, and not forgetting her husband Ron who has been a tremendous support and carer during the last couple of years which I know she appreciated. There is a hole that cannot be filled in all of our hearts. Thank you Joy for your kindness and love over the years, rest in peace my dear friend.

So sorry for your loss [major hugs]. Diabetes is a nasty disease, my step son was diagnosed with type 1 at the age of 15, so I do appreciate the ups and downs of such an awful condition and just when you think you have everything tickety boo it flares up without a moments notice. My heart goes out to you and your family. Please take care.

I'm so sorry for your loss. She sounds like a very special lady. God Bless you and yours at this difficult time.
Thank you for your sincere comments Tricia,(and hugs) which I really appreciate. I believe our lives are the richer for having had Joy in them.
I am only too aware of the complications of Diabetes as both my Husband and I have type II, but so far have been lucky to have escaped bad complications and are in good control and health. I wish the same good health to your dear step son too.
Bless you Patrice.

Rose, I was just standing in my dining room looking out the window when you popped in my head so I came in here to look at your post when I realized you haven't been by lately and I keep forgetting to visit you. Sorry. The lord must have put your name in my head and I see why. I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet friend. I had a grandfather that had diabetes and now we have a close friend who has it, too. I really don't think he understands the danger of this disease and wish he did. I will keep you and her loved ones in my thoughts and prayers. So sad that it happened, but it seem it is worse at the holidays. I hope you are able to have a good Christmas.
hugs, Kim
